Posted: 23 Dec 2008 10:24 AM PST Gogol Bordello : Avenue B If you have never seen Gogol Bordello perform you are truly missing a huge cultural experience. Eugene Hutz and his gang of rabble-rousing gypsy punks always put on an intense show. A staple of New York’s Bulgarian Bar for years, Gogol Bordello gathered one of the coolest underground crowds on Thursdays in NY for some serious Gypsy madness. Posted: 23 Dec 2008 09:22 AM PST I just saw this brilliant development by designer Hyun-Joong Kim & Kwang-Seok Jeong, created to gather and redirect solar energy used to charge your iPods, phones and other tiny gadgets. The lenses of these Self Energy Converting Sunglasses have dye solar cells, collecting energy and making it possible to feed power through the power jack at the back of the frame. "Infinite Energy: SIG"
The dye solar cell is described by the designers of the SIG as "cheap organic dye [used with] nano technology [providing] “cheap but high energy efficiency”. Inexpensive, light, and visible-ray penetrable. The lens turns sunlight rays, (rays that would otherwise harm the eye,) into electrical energy. via Yanko Design Related posts:

Posted: 22 Dec 2008 11:14 AM PST Dj Z-Trip & DJ P : Uneasy Listening My itunes was shuffling and suddenly it played one of my favorite tracks off one of my favorite mixed tapes ever! In 1999 DJ Z trip and DJ P recorded this genius mix, Uneasy Listening, of which only 1,000 copies of have been printed, likely because the roster of recognizable songs would never be approved for wide release in the litigious real world. This album is basically history lesson in music, which Z Trip and DJ P mixed in one week using records. I have included 4 of my favorite tracks, but each one ground breaking! Listen to “Strictly Limited Edition ” Here Listen to “Up Into Little Pieces” Here Listen to “Rather, Ripping The Envelope” Here Listen to “Only 1000 Copies” Here Related posts:

The focus is in jewelry pieces that become handles, collars, pockets or buttons.” However Maria Francesca is far from a new comer to this industry. Having worked in PR in Italy, she has been attending fashion shows and mingling with designers and fashionable celebrities for some time so its no wonder that the likes of one of our new favorite Roisin Murphy and Agyness Deyn are already on her fan list. Topshop Unique SS09 Collection Posted: 22 Dec 2008 09:48 AM PST Topshop Unique’s Collection for SS09 is a total blast form the past with a few different stories to be told. Yet another sign that hearts will be the signature emblem for SS09, the runway starts of with some all over-print heart jackets and jumpers in a pastel palette, from there it jumps to washed denim dresses and rompers and starts the undeniable reference of the mid 1980’s. The bouffant hair wrapped in voluminous scarves totally capture the Bananarama iconic look. This collection looks like it was too much fun to bring to life. Although still very youthful, I feel there is a great range in this collection.
