Posted: 20 Dec 2008 09:01 AM PST Lyndon Wade is a NYC based commercial photographer, who shoots for world's most famous ad agencies: ads for Nintendo, Sonic, Vox vodka and many others. Wade's vibrant, iconoclastic style brings a fun, dynamic, contemporary aesthetic to every advertising campaign he shoots. Many of his vibrant compositions synthesize elements of humor and fantasy, in conjunction with depictions of subjects starring in a kind of paused movie; their frozen motion conveys a much more complete narrative within a single image - via Much of Wade's photography is very controversial, sometimes even brutal, but at all times exceptionally creative and original. He's a photographer who certainly accepts all manner of influence into his work; finding inspiration in multiple forms of visual culture. View more of Wade's photographic brilliance.. Related posts:

As of recent, I haven’t had time to sit down with a good book. The bookmark in my current read has has been set in its place for a long time. As a kid standing no taller than the legal height limit for carnival rides, I hated literature. My love for reading has grown exponentially over the years and I realized it was the selective stale reading I was subjected to and not the fact that reading and I never got along. Posted: 19 Dec 2008 06:10 PM PST Swiss furniture manufacturer Horgenglarus was awarded the Best Scenario prize at the recently held Designers' Saturday show in Langenthal, Switzerland. The numerous descending lighting fixtures resembles the fallen leaves which give way to a poetic crunch once in contact with another object. The installation looks as fragile as the leaves themselves. Well played.

Posted: 19 Dec 2008 10:14 AM PST It’s 2100. Humans haven’t gained control of their carbon emissions. The earth has warmed up. The oceans have risen. Millions of ecological refugees have nowhere to go. Unless, of course, they had the foresight to build Lilypads. The brainchildren of Vincent Callebaut Architectures, the Lilypad is a design for an auto-sufficient amphibious city. If you’ve seen Wall-E, it’s a bit like the Axiom spaceship - a giant city with everything needed for humans to survive a major catastrophe. It also looks a bit like something that might be built off the coast of Dubai. Lilypads have a further benefit. Build one or two off the coast of Dubai, Hong Kong or Monaco - and, flood or no flood, you can significantly increase the size of your kingdom or principality. Lilypads house 50,000 people, as well as plants and animals. They have lakes and mountains, schools and multiplexes. To read full article visit Been Seen Related posts:
