Borba Margo Accessory Collection Posted: 29 Apr 2009 11:11 AM PDT “These decorative elements are set against the carefully considered bold geometric structures that are Borba Margo's signature, creating a unique balance between minimalism and excess that is surely the aesthetic for today. ” Coming from a womenswear background designers/collaborators Anderson Borba DaSilva and Jessika Margo Goransson, of Borba Margo, bring something very new and unique to the accessories market. Acutely conscious of the female body as they design their collections, Borba Margo incorporates many techniques used in creating garments, which you can see throughout their ss09 collection, shown here. The collection is innovative and excessive, taking risks but prudent in all its decisions to make it absolutely versatile and most importantly wearable. Stay tuned for AW 09/10 collection review, coming in the next few days.

Posted: 29 Apr 2009 10:48 AM PDT Dora Mojzes is a young fashion designer from Hungary. Her last collection “Diploma” features a smart blend of 40’s fashion and futurism. I love the origami details on these pieces and her beautiful illustrations! Ive been feeling it for a while now, but it looks like a trend is really coming here, The mix of past, contemporary and future all mixed together. The result leaves me speechless… |
Posted: 29 Apr 2009 10:17 AM PDT Another style of photography by Tom Hines; we can probably call it Hitchcock Fashion (obviously shot with film). This series is actually the lookbook for the F/W 09/10 campaign of fashion label Lorick New York (the 3 last images are from Safe Spring 09). This is a perfect example of how important it is for brand to have a strong lookbook, first, people will remember it, and second, it will spread all over the web like brush fire…. |
Posted: 29 Apr 2009 10:03 AM PDT We introduced you to Mark Fast when we reviewed his ss09 collection and praised him for winning the London Fashion Week New Gen Award for Autumn/winter 2009. Not a huge stretch in aesthetic and therefore equally impressive is his AW09/10 collection. As he continues to create his signature knitwear dominatrix I am patiently waiting an explosion of expression where knitwear meets cut and sew, for a range of silhouettes and the peak of avant-garde fashion. |
