Spain’s Fashion Production Dream-Team Posted: 09 Apr 2009 10:20 AM PDT Paco Peregrin and Kattaca are without a doubt my favorite Spanish fashion production team. Their photos and styling are dynamic on so many levels. We have featured Paco Peregrin before, but this is the first time we pay praise to the stylists, Kattaca, and them as a whole. The sense of fantasy and lush is absolutely overwhelming in their productions. I don’t know how they have created so many breath-taking works one after the other. It seems like total sensory overload, though I would do it at the speed of a shooting star. Make-up artist, Lewis Amarante, and hairstylist, Daniel Martin, were a huge driving factor of this production. You can see how the hair, filling each frame, and the make-up completely set the mood for the model and the shot. |
Belvedere and Andre Viral Video : Mr.IX Posted: 09 Apr 2009 09:30 AM PDT And its again André and his graffiti character Mr. IX the star of this viral video for the Belvedere IX Vodka campaign. A pretty cool video where Mr. IX come to life and invades NY, from the Bowery Hotel to André’s own Club Beatrice. Its also interesting to see how the Belvedere IX campaign has been spread all over the internet, You cannot miss it ! From this viral video to the fully customed theme the campaign has been everywhere… Also a little exclu for you, André will open really soon his own club in LA, and you can never imagine where !? At the Magic Castle, yes sir!! Look forward to some crazy parties… |
Converse Espadrille Exclusives Posted: 09 Apr 2009 09:08 AM PDT Converse concept designer, Timothy Liles, has developed this All Star espadrille exclusively for Urban Outfitters. It looks like a mix between a Tom’s and a Chinese Mao slipper, nothing really to do with an espadrille, but ok. They are cute and clever but the quality looks like a straight “C”, then again most Tom’s and shoes and others in that group are not really about quality, just a quick fix for a shoe and a replacement for a flip-flop. I guess the price point of these babies will make or break them for me, I say no more that $18, but they have not called to ask me my thoughts yet. |
