Fahsion Spotlight : Empire Records-Style Comeback Posted: 14 Apr 2009 11:08 AM PDT Early '90s grunge makes a chic, Empire Records-style comeback … I loved this Fashion Spotlight from Elle portraying the hottest young stars in Empire Records-early 90’s style. It is always fun to channel the teenage style because there are no preconceptions of what works and what doesn’t so it gives the stylist the liberty to mix and match things you would not in other editorials. The teenage/over-layered style is often a large indicator of upcoming trends. And who other to style this shoot than 90’s ambassador Erin Wasson.

Posted: 14 Apr 2009 10:02 AM PDT Apparently Audi has had this billboard advertising the new A4 up for months on Santa Monica Blvd in L.A. The ad challenges BMW with an image of the new A4 and the pull-out, “Your move, BMW.” I know that comparison advertising can be very impactful, usually because its easy to remember the negative connotations, but the joke is usually on the antagonist, as seen here. After some months BMW responded, raising up a billboard across the street advertising the high-performance M3 and the word “Checkmate.” Finesse! But is this the final match or will there be a part 2 of this feud? - thanks to AutoBlog for the tip. |
