Kostas Murkudis SS09 Collection Posted: 20 Nov 2008 12:58 PM CST Womens SS09 Collection Kostas Murkudis was born in Dresden in 1959. As his name suggests, his parents came from Greece. He went to West Berlin as a teenager and studied fashion at the Lette Foundation’s design school. After a short period as a trainee with Wolfgang Joop, he became the right-hand man of Viennese designer Helmut Lang in 1985. Murkudis stood in his “master’s” shadow for a long time, and his style was regarded as kind of “Lang No. 2″; those times are now gone for good. In 1992, Murkudis took the plunge and launched his first collection for women. After a show in Japan, his Paris debut in 1997 caused quite a stir. A menswear collection followed. Posted: 20 Nov 2008 11:50 AM CST Here is a sneak preview of the SS09 U-Roads Collection. U Roads is and Italian environmentally conscious footwear brand. They use recycled tires to build the soles of the shoes and make the world a better place one step at a time. I really like these suede boots, they remind of a hybrid of the classic Clark mixed with a classic work boot. See below for the entire color story. Related posts:
