Posted: 27 Jan 2009 10:50 AM PST PaperMag’s Johnny Misheff recently named INVEN.TORY the best new shop in Nolita, New York City. And it’s no wonder- with it’s incredible finds and even better prices, INVEN.TORY is paving the road to a smarter way of shopping. Founder Mike Townsend thinks of the store as a curated boutique that is category and not brand-driven. That isn’t to say that the store doesn’t carry must-have brands- while the clothing in the store rotates weekly, there are always plenty of great items from lines like Lorick, Idol Radec, and Corpus. Townsend and his partners consistently hand pick the best new items that are always on-trend, bringing what would be otherwise unknown talent directly to their customer. Even the design of the store is part of the experience. With it’s effortless simplicity- exposed brick walls, garments hanging off of chains found right on the streets of New York City, and clean lighting- shopping becomes uncomplicated and more direct. Customers love INVEN.TORY not only for it’s designer goods at wholesale prices, but also for it’s unique and clever flair. INVENT.TORY Related posts:

Posted: 27 Jan 2009 10:46 AM PST 3:33 Footwear claims that its inspiration is derived from “…house slippers, moccasins, classic worn-in sneakers and all the people that wear them right”. It’s pretty much impossible to wear these effortless shoes the wrong way- they add an instant look to a whole outfit. Much like their Los Angeles, California origins, the shoes themselves are simple and relaxed, the three trademark designs ranging from beloved Ked-like sneakers to chic but comfortable leather booties. Ex-professional skateboarder, now designer, Andrew Reynolds plans to keep the shoes unisex, and intends on keeping the original three designs simply because they work, perhaps adding new colors to the collection . He claims the brand’s philosophy is “don’t do much,” clearly a sentiment that works, as the footwear has been seen on the likes of Jack White, and is carried at New York City’s trendy and adored Oak and American Rag stores. Inspired by Ali Boulala, a professional skateboarder, and from random people on the street (”I saw a girl at Starbucks the other day,” Reynolds recalls, “…her belt was so amazing!”), 3:33 Footwear fuels the love of casual-cool on both coasts, and soon, overseas. I strive to make paintings of my life, the people and the world around me. Kanye’s LV Kicks Hit the Runway Posted: 26 Jan 2009 11:20 AM PST Kanye’s collab with the Louis Vuitton Spring 09 line called “Kanye LV” stepped out in Paris on Thursday. The monochromatic beauties are just the kind of low-pro steeze expected from the K; of course he had to throw the little Louis flowers at the sole. Not sure what’s going on in the back with the oversized tabs? A take on a floppy hiking boot? - -LalaBlahBlah Related posts:
